Hello! It is a new semester and you know what that means: it is time for some new challenges and opportunities!

Some of these challenges include the classes I am taking this semester. These classes include Chemistry 1220, Biology 1113H, English 1101H, and Bioethics 2000 (online). So far, I am really enjoying all of my classes and I really like my professors.

A few of the goals I have for this semester are to reach out to a professor and start researching, become an RA, continue with Relay for Life and find some (volunteer) work in a hospital.

My interests:

  • The research I am specifically interested in is Breast Cancer partnered with Data Science. As a Mol Gen major, I find these topics extremely fascinating and hope to develop my data interpretation skills.
  • For the 2018-2019 school year, I intend to become an RA  because I feel like I can tackle any situation, I love a challenge and it would be a good experience and lesson on mature. I have an interview coming up and I will keep you updated on how it goes!
  • For Relay for Life, I hope to assemble a team and become a team captain while also keeping my role on the Sponsorship Committee.
  • Lastly, I have applied for six hospitals ‘student assistant’ positions and hope to hear back soon and further my experience in the hospital.

I aim to make it a great semester and as always, Go Bucks!
